Precision pressure regulators are used where a pressure, almost independent of the flow quantity, must be held constant. Mainly this accuracy is secured by a low own air consumption and the setting is done via a pneumatic signal or a handwheel. Some precision pressure regulator set relatively high requirements on the compressed air quality, which can be achieved through upstream fine filters. With the proportional pressure regulators, instead of the mechanical setting, electrical signals are used for setting the target pressure.
