Festo offers a range of pneumatic and electrical jaws for the most varied applications. With the mechanical jaws, a distinction is made according to the gripping principle. There are bellows jaws, which grip by means of deformation of an elastic bellows, parallel jaws, whose gripping movement takes place through fingers that move in parallel, three-point jaws, which centre the object when gripping and angle or radial jaws, which hold the object to be gripped through a pivot movement of the gripping fingers. The most-used gripper shape by far is, owing to its simple geometry, the parallel gripper. Separators are used for separating the material supply of the grippers and round off the range of offering.
