ORFS screw connections are easily recognised by the face-side O-ring seal on the front side of the male thread part. The thread with the union nut (female thread) is provided a sealing surface for flat sealing. This sealing system has good resistance against vibrations and therefore is popular in the automotive industry. The threads and the screw in side are UN-/UNF or UNS threads.
